Everything works fine for about 10 seconds, then I get a critical memory error that causes it to reboot. If can log in and kill the pppd process, everything works fine, so I can guarantee it has to do with pppd. Any ideas? Other topics: SLIP server - I found the commands and the FAQ for connecting to a SLIP connection in FreeBSD, but none on how to set up a slip server on FreeBSD. Does such a document exist? Am I missing something obvious here? I'm looking for commercial business applications to run on an Integraph running CLIX. Does anyone know of any good commercial UNIX software sources? Specifically, I'm looking for Lotus 1-2-3, and WordPerfect or anything similar. Other engineering packages would be cool too. My /etc/exports file looks like this: /usr/cce -maproot=http (machine list) /usr/local/www -maproot=http (machine list) The first line works, the second doesn't. The only difference is the directory being exported. When mountd loads, it says "can't change properties". Why should it even be trying. Ideas? Thanks all in advance. Email is preferred (I've not been able to post this for 3 days because there was no room, so my news feed is currently unreliable). Thanks again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Marcus I. Ryan | That makes me feel all warm and squishy.
