Actually a silo is a tall hollow tower used to store grain. In a silo overflow
the machinery that fills the silo with grain has failed to notice that the
tower is full allowing grain to overflow. This is only dangerous when the
access doors are closed and locked which causes a backup into the filling
machine.

A silo is also a store which sells home electronics at a discount. The problem
with a silo overflow in this case is when there are too many silos in
operation in a single area causing a lose of discount offerings because the
competition has been eliminated by the excess silos.
