Message-ID: <1995May7.020337.24543@nosc.mil> Keywords: mbone multicast nv vat sd Sender: news@nosc.mil Organization: NCCOSC RDT&E Division, San Diego, CA X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Date: Sun, 7 May 1995 02:03:37 GMT Lines: 9 I am looking for an x86 Unix implementation that supports IP multicast. I would like to be able to run MBONE applications (nv, vat, sd, wb). I know that SunSoft's Solaris 2.4 supports multicast, but I was wondering if any of the freeware implementations (Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD) supported multicast, and how well. -- Mark Ganzer Naval Command, Control & Ocean Surveillance Center, ganzer@nosc.mil RDT&E Div (NRaD), Code 4123, San Diego, CA Ph: (619) 553-1186 FAX: (619) 553-4808
