Leaving out X, you can run quite comfortably on 4 Mb RAM, 25 Mhz 386,
and 100 Mb of disk.  I left off the source to GNU C and a couple other
"biggies", but otherwise was able to install both source and binary,
and build kernels and commands.

Since then I've added a 1.2 Gb SCSI disk.  The GNU C source is
back on-line! :-)
