In DOS, I have a file in config.sys that sets up the card, then goes away. Without this, I get a rating of 2800 kps from my Conner 850, and with it I get 12600 kps (this is with CoreTest, so the numbers are likely not to be strictly accurate, but they can be used fairly well for comparisons.) Can I expect performance similar to the former, or the latter in FreeBSD (2.0R now, will get the 2.0.5 if it is put on CD, and later the 2.1R).
