Date: 10 May 1995 21:15:11 GMT Lines: 15 Message-ID: <3oracv$8cd@huron.eel.ufl.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: hal.eng.ufl.edu X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] I've been seeing a few posts from this group regarding specific brands of motherboard recommendations and chipsets to watch out for. Namely, I've come to the conclusion that avoiding the Neptune chipset is just a real good idea. Is there a way to tell which chipset a particular motherboard has from looking at the numbers on the chips? Has anyone seen a utility that I can run from DOS/BSD/whatever that can tell me the chipset I'm running? I also saw and article in comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.announce from Jordan Hubbard recommending the Intel Triton chipset MB. What brand of MB was this? Intel? Asus? Thanks, Stephanie George
