Hello,

I am having a lot of trouble compiling kernels under freebsd. I have
tried this under three different release levels without luck.
1.1.5, 2.0-release, and 2.0-950412-SNAP

I do vanilia install, install the sys src and then,

cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf
config GENERIC
cd ../../compile/GENERIC
make depend
make

the last time I tried this (5 minutes ago) it got to spec_vnops.c and I
got a
May 12 01:29:01 abraxas /kernel: pid 874: cc1: uid 0: exited on signal 10
cc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 10

this baffles me. The machine I am doing this on has run freebsd for a
week or two without problems except that I cannot compile kernels.

Any assistance you might provide would be very greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Alan Laird
