While I'm on the subject, > >when is the next official release due out? > > When core decides to release it <shrug>. :-) I was asking the people at InfoMagic about the BSDisc recently (because I saw elsewhere that they usually update their disks every few months, and the last BSDisc was November), and the reply I had was that the next release of FreeBSD was not planned until the end of the summer, but that there might be a new NetBSD in a month or so, so they would update the disk then. (it was a bit ambiguous, I don't know if they have any inside information..) I would prefer to be able to get a new version on a CD-ROM (even if it was a frozen -current), since I understand lots of useful work has been done on the sparc port since 1.0 .. ]ain
