I ran into this only once, if i used the "debug" and "noipdefault" and "name" and not "default route" combination. Don't know if this helps you or not. One quick note: I'd been using slip for a while, and decided to switch to PPP as a trial. Kudos to the people who set up this config and usage. Under slip I never was able to get auto-dial/connect while under PPP it almost wrote itself. However, I am running into a different problem. After getting a combo of "/etc/ppp/options" and a chat script that works, I get the ppp connection alright. I can ping the remote server (I am running as client) but I cannot see any other machine. I have a call in to my service provider, but wondered if the problem might be something on my end. Using "ifconfig pp0" and "route get default" it looks like the correct information (compared to equivalent slip info). Any ideas, things to look at, etc?
