Hello Chris,

: cuaa4	"/usr/local/sbin/mgetty -b -s 38400"	vt100 on
: ttyd4	"/usr/local/sbin/mgetty -b -s 38400"	vt100 on

cuaa4 is the auxialiary (w/o hardware handshake) device
and only usefull for a mouse.

normally mgetty is usefull just for dialin i suppose.
Sendfax (coming with mgetty) ist able to dialout to
send a fax.

if you want to dialout and connect e.g. with a mailbox
it's better to use a terminal program like seyon or something else.

(be sure, that both programs create the same lock files,
 usually /var/spool/lock/LCK..ttyd0 for example.)

PS: you should use the newest mgetty (0.23) version,
because in 0.22 you have to patch mgetty.c because
of a missing statement (get session leader) in the code.
