The only thing you may have to do is remove the second floppy drive
from your config and recompile the kernel before the SMC works. From
my config file:

    # floppy drives
controller fdc0 at isa? port "IO_FD1" irq 6 drq 2
    disk fd0 at fdc0 drive ?
    # XXX second floppy entry has to be removed for SMC to work (stupid)
    #disk fd1 at fdc0 drive ?

This apparently only happens on some machines. No doubt it's fixed
in -current; I'm running 1.0.
