As of yesterday, I have started to run FreeBSD on my PC
(AMD 486DX2 3V, ASUS SP3G SCSI/PCI, 1Gb Seagate HD,
16MB RAM) but I can't get it to boot reliably.
It often hangs in the CDROM driver, failing an
assertion at line 5342 of ...? (I left the details
at home. I am using the Apr 25 snapshot of FreeBSD
2.0, I think).

The CDROM drive is a Chinon 535 internal (2X, caddy,
SCSI). Has anybody used this drive successfully?

Thanks ---Luigi
