The challenge we just encountered with LINUX is: All of the terminal programs that telnet into the LINUX box do not do a carriage return at the system prompt. They do a line feed so you get this kind of stuff. But everything looks and works okay on the system console and on the BBS console. profile is set for vt100 and once ANY of the users switch into the pine editor, all the vt100 codes work fine. But trn and tin won't do the carriage returns. So, what i see is that some of the apps work on some stations and pine works on all. Any suggestions? I hate reading like this my neck hurts! ********************************************************************** Michigan's Electronic Magazine(c) http://www.ring.com/michigan.html telnet://ring.com Local access 810-698-9441 ftp://ftp.ring.com Bed & Breakfast Writer's Contest!
