APM is not in the BIOS on these machines. TI may have a driver that they load out of config.sys to do this but FreeBSD will obviously never find that. I'm faced with the choice of giving up on APM for this machine or taking apart the driver to figure out how it works... >have you got the trackball working? > Nope, I assumed that it would work with the PS/2 busmouse driver. My laptop is small (120MB) so I don't run X... The nice thing about it si that all the new drives ar larger and use less power than the one that I have so I'll just get a new drive and install X and use the busmouse driver (I hope?).
