You will need a 'proper' EIDE controller and BIOS that supports LBA. I
can't tell you too much about it right now, I am still invesitgating this
problem myself but you can get around it. It has to do with all bootable 
partitions starting below 1024 cylinders. Basically, this proves yet 
again that IDE is a kludge at best.
