Hi All,

I've had great success installing FreeBSD on a few systems and am attempting
to help a friend with trouble (and no net access). Here's the system info:
DEC pc/XL 590 w/48Mb RAM, plenty of HD space, and AHA 2940 SCSI controller.
The DEC has an onboard controller that he has disabled through the BIOS in
favor of the Adaptec.

When booting off the boot floppy (image from 2.0R CDROM), FreeBSD sees the
onboard NCR SCSI rather than the Adaptec and just hangs. Nothing else
happens.

Any suggestions/tips welcome.
Thanks in advance.
