I don't know how but at least my NetBSD (Amiga version) does logout me if I'm idle too many minutes (or about an hour I guess). I was logged as root then, but probably it does the same for other users, too. I don't know is this the default behaviour in any *BSD or just in NetBSD... Mika Kortelainen
