I have just installed version 2.0 of FreeBSD and have a couple of questions.
I am an intermediate UNIX user so these might be silly questions.

1) I installed the games package. It put the games in /usr/games. I am not
sure how to run the games. For "adventure" I tried typing in the name of the
file and the response was file not found. I tried "sh adventure" and some
garbage flew by on the screen and I got an error message. Also all the games
have a link to a file called dm which is also in the same directory
(/usr/games)

2) I dowloaded the X11Free86 package from one of the internet sites using my
Windows Internet software. Because of the DOS 8.3 file limitation it cuts off
most of the long UNIX filename. Because of this I am not able to install from
a dos partition like I did for the rest of the packages. If I copy the files
to a FreeBSD partition and rename them what directory should I put them in and
how do I install the package.

3) I tried to backup some files to my Conner 420mb backup drive (connected to
my floppy controller). It is seen at bootup as ft0. I used the command
"tar cf /dev/ft0 /home" and received a kernel trap and the Freebsd system
immediately reboot. Do I need to mount this first or something else.

Thanks in advance.
