I just picked up the June 2nd version of the root.flp and boot.flp files
to try my first FreeBSD install on my 486/33 AMI BIOS, IDE drives,
Lantastic AE2 (NE2000 clone), system. I did the rawrite onto 3.5"
floppies and then booted. It came up, probed a bunch of devices and
then the screen went blank and it stuck there. I looked at Alt-F2
and there was some message I unfortunately can't remember about TIOC????
and the number 3

Anyway, I was wondering if there was some way to control the probing on the
boot process so I can tell it to NOT look for devices that I know aren't
there.
