There is a soft limit on the number of filedescriptors a process can
have. I do not know how much it is on FreBSD, but on SunOS4.1.x e.g.
this is on 64. So if you have ~50 Feeds (In and out) then this limit
may be reached (there are some descriptors for internal use) and the
process gets a message from the kernel that it exceeded the soft
limit. You can change this by changind NO_FILE (I think) in
config.data and recompiling innd.
