I know that a subset of the authors of the 4.3BSD volume have signed a contract with Addison-Wesley. I also know that Kirk McKusick (who should be writing this response) is rafting on the Colorado River. He may answer in due time. I put in the footnote at Kirk's request; the wording was approved by A-W. My guess is that the book will be out soon, but you might just check the aw.com web page.
