This sounds very similar to a problem I'm having with a DELL 66Mhz/486 system. I've found that if I use the BIOS to set the CPU speed to "Compatible" (8MHz ?), then the system runs fine, albeit much slower. Of course this isn't very pratical, but it does indicate to me that the problem may be the timing on the I/O bus. I was planning to try putting delays into the I/O functions in "cpufuncs.h", but haven't tried it yet. Perhaps someone else has some other ideas. -- Mikel Lechner Unix Software Contractor
