It should work, but nobody would like to guarantee it. :)

On the other hand, back up your /etc, /usr/home and /usr/local, and
re-install from scratch.  I did this for upgrading from 2.0R to one of
the SNAP's (since then i'm keeping up with -current), and it was less
than 6 hours to get everything up well, including SLIP, UUCP and mail.
