We have a 486 DX33 running as a WWW server here for the last 3 months and it hasn't crashed yet (except for Butler Power Company's many outages :-( ) It appears to be extremely stable - I am still learning Unix, so I can't afford to have an unstable system here :-) A very knowledgable friend of mine (Terry Kennedy [terry@spcvxa.spc.edu]) set it all up for me, and I generally trust his recommendations about computer stuff... We also use it as our nntp server and general purpose box and it still has plenty of horsepower left. I'm beginning to think that Unix might be better than VMS for some purposes... -- Lee Havemann, Comp Ops Dir.
