The FAQ file is not outdated. ,,Dynamic'' slip is non-standard, and FreeBSD doesn't support it out of the box. You can however setup some sort of script that establishes the connection and tries to get the information of the IP address in order to pass it to the later steps. (I have no idea on how the address is passed however.
