I have a Sportster v.32 modem connected up on COM0. I'm trying to get the machine to answer with a login prompt when someone dials in remotely. When someone tries to dial in, the modem picks up okay, but immediately dropps the carrier after that, and the user never gets the login prompt. /etc/ttys has the line: tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.19200" unknown on rtscts mdmbuf /etc/remote has the line: com0c|com0:dv=/dev/tty00:br#19200: /etc/gettytab has the line: g|std.19200|19200-baud:\ :sp#19200: I'm new to this sort of stuff, but it seems that the problem is in getting a "getty" out to that modem line once the modems have made connection. Anybody point me where I need to go next? -Glenn smith@midsoft.com
