Except that it's opening security holes (unless `sudo' has a rather sophisticated configuration mechanism). No big issue for a machine at home, but i get a better feeling with the well-taylored Perl script than a `generic su hole'. Even though i'm normally alone on my machine, there are a few accounts on it, and as long as the box is connected through the SLIP to outside, they are free to log in and do what they want. (Not that i think they'd like to do me some bad, but i'd also have to make sure they don't do bad things _by accident_.) >Too bad there's no way to put the stuff in your /etc/fstab w/o having >it mounted on boot. I still can imagine of the Linux solution as well. What exactly is it? Does anybody here know? -- cheers, J"org private: joerg_wunsch@uriah.heep.sax.de http://www.sax.de/~joerg/ Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-)
