Yes, you're right! I was simply too logical, something that's not good when working with computers, I guess. ;-) Thought that it was no use to try it under X (which didn't start correctly then, which kept me from simply trying) when it didn't even work with cat. (Which works under Linux, btw...) Now I'm working on the FreeBSD machine, writing this message with Netscape (which is running on a HP btw.)! Thanks again to everybody!
