I have never had a single problem installing a package later; I actually prefer adding later so I don't fill my disk with stuff I do not want/need. I think a wonderful job has been done to make adding packages very easy; how much easier can you get than "pkg_add packagename" and "pkg_delete packagename". And the install program for 2.0.5 works like a dream; and I really don't like menu's. >I've had nothing but good luck with my Linux system, and nothing but >bad luck trying to help my roommate with his FreeBSD system. >Go figure. It is just a matter what you are used to.. You should try porting things to Ultrix; there you would learn about different I tried porting "Harvest" big problems with Ultrix (I gave up) no problem with FreeBSD. :-> | Ted Wisniewski INET: ted@oz.plymouth.edu | | Computer Services ted@wiz.plymouth.edu | | Plymouth State College tedw@psc.plymouth.edu | | Plymouth NH, 03264 HTTP: http://oz.plymouth.edu/~ted/ |
