I wrote a post to this effect a couple of months ago, but as time has gone by I feel a need to repeat myself :-) Being involved in a large scale developement project, with builds occurring on FreeBSD (primary develpoement platform), as well as SunOS, Solaris, HP-UX, OSF/1, AIX, SiliG IRIX, and a few others, I've really had a chance to comparse system stability, flexibility, and the relative accuracy of man pages. Consistently, FreeBSD has come out on top. For pieces of the OS not conflicting with each other, for manual pages actually telling you what you need to do in lots of weird cases, for taking a lot of abuse and handling it (usually with a smile). Kudos. -coranth ------------------------------------------+------------------------+ Coranth Gryphon <gryphon@healer.com> | "Faith Manages." | | - S'tai Delen | Phone: (603) 598-3440 +------------------------+ USMail: 11 Carver St, Nashua, NH 03060 Disclaimer: All these words are yours, except Europa...
