Date: 22 Jun 1995 22:03:25 GMT Organization: Okanagan Internet Junction, Vernon B.C., Canada Lines: 17 Distribution: inet Message-ID: <3scpbd$t6i@felix.junction.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: okjunc.junction.net Has anyone ported CMU's snmpd agent to FreeBSD 2.0.5R ? I have a port that reputedly works on FreeBSD 2.0 but I can't get it to work on FreeBSD 2.0.5R. When I start snmpd it says "Opening port(s):" but then it doesn't display any port numbers and appears to be unreachable. I managed to get it running on BSDI 1.1 but there I get errors partway through snmpwalk's traversal of kernel parameters, no doubt due to differences in the kernel layout. I want to replace the BSDI router with a FreeBSD 2.0.5R router because I need it to run and SNMP agent. -- Michael Dillon Voice: +1-604-549-1036 Network Operations Fax: +1-604-542-4130 Okanagan Internet Junction Internet: michael@junction.net http://www.junction.net - The Okanagan's 1st full-service Internet provider
