Read the sentence as: ``Don't login as root.  Login as a regular user,

Both systems use XFree86, so both have the same configuration.  The
default places to look for the config file (which is *NOT* an
executable) are /etc/XF86Config and /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config (in
this order, i.e. the /etc will get higher precedence).
