Our Mud-Process hung after one or two days; strace showed a write to a non-blocking socket did not return. Now we are using FreeBSD since some month without any problems ... At home, I use Linux, but for integration into existing networks FreeBSD seems better to me as it comes with working yp, shadow password and automounter in the standard dist. Using Linux (eg Slackware), you have to recompile libc/login/passwd etc at least to get shadow pwd ... Joerg
