Now my small problem is that I always have to press the big red button to restart the machine, I mean cold reboot, after normal shutdown. I have installed Boot manager to allow dual boot of MS-DOS and FreeBSD. This problem did not occur when rebooting from MS-DOS. Here are my hardware details: P-90 Premier-II Plato m/b with 16meg and BIOS 1.00.08.AX1 NCR SDMS 53C8XX SCSI BIOS - 3.00.07 Quantum LPS540S Conner 525Q ...... Question: 1. Is there anything wrong with FreeBSD Boot manager ? 2. Is it possible to install the boot loader under MBR even with allowing dual boot (I am not familiar with this) ? 3. Do I have to upgrade Plato and/or NCR BIOS ? Thanks in advance for your sincere advice, Joonwoo -- Joonwoo Nam Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UMASS at Amherst e-mail:nam@nazgul.ecs.umass.edu / work:413-545-4762 / fax:413-545-4611 -- Joonwoo Nam Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UMASS at Amherst e-mail:nam@nazgul.ecs.umass.edu / work:413-545-4762 / fax:413-545-4611
