Lines: 17 Message-ID: <3sdv5t$ane@phcoms4.seri.philips.nl> NNTP-Posting-Host: spi03.cnps.philips.nl Summary: how to prevent CTRL-ALT-DEL from rebooting Keywords: reboot Hi, I am co-operator on a 1.1.5.1 FreeBSD system that is located in a public area. People tend to not understand the login-prompt and hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to get something they think is normal (i.e. a DOS prompt). I would like to make CTRL-ALT-DEL not do a reboot but just the sync so I can hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and then hit the power in case of an emergency. I didn't get it to work, not even with the help of someone who knows plenty about FreeBSD. Anybody else who did this and got it working? Cheers, Walter. -- Ir. W.H.B.
