I couldn't tweak the packaged INN correctly and get it to work, so I ended up doing a pkg_delete on it, grabbing the _port_ from ftp.freebsd.org and compiling it. Went in w/o a problem, innwatch stopped vomiting on me. I _suspect_ that it was just a setting or directory I had failed to create/chmod correctly. The port's install has worked w/o a hitch for me now for 3 days, while the pkg would fault 5 minutes after rc.news was ran. ========================================================================= Donald Alan Whiteside MDCC Wage Slave School of Computer Science Official Usenet Dork for the week of Jan 9-13, 1995 GCS d-- -p+(---) l u+(-) e+ m+ s !n h f g+ w+ t+(++) r- y++ "The universe is not in the habit of giving up explanations to cursory examinations" - Garth Thornton =========================================================================
