Actually, I have yet to see a day go by where at least one of Jeorg, Nate, or
Jordan DON'T post messages, answer questions, etc. I have yet to ask a
question and not get a response from at least one (and sometimes all) of the
above FreeBSD Core Team members. I don't know where anyone got the impression
that the core team avoids the newsgroups. I think the point that was being
made is that not everyone that could possibly help answer a question reads the
newsgroup for whatever reason. As you said, "My point was that many VIPs
(not all) for major products are there".

How many more than 3 would you like? That doesn't even include the non-core
members that devote a large amount of time to helping people (like Terry
Lambert). Of all the questions I've asked, I've only failed to get a response
once, and that was because people had not all moved from the 386bsd.*
hierarchy over to here yet. The first message got no responses. The second
message, appropriately cross-posted got well over 30 responses, including
responses from Terry, 3 core-team members, and many other people.

Just a quick question: What do you mean when you say the Linux groups seem
more "Professional"? Are you referring to their employment status? I've
never actually seen serious flaming in this group until this linux argument
exploded. Even then, almost everyone (maybe one or two exceptions) has acted
quite professionally (Argue, counter-argue, etc., not FreeBSD Rules, Linux
Sucks! :) Just curious...
