Summary: Clobbered my audio device where can I get a new one ?
Keywords: audio sb /dev/audio dolt!

Heres a goody - I got my SB16 going the other day (thanks all involved),
and played a few .AU and .MP2 files using a few applications from the
ports collection - very nice !

So then I got a bit cocky and tryed cat filename.au > /dev/audio and it
played OK (bit scratchy - but OK). So now I was feeling real cocky, and
tryed to get Netscape to play a file - save file to .... /dev/audio - and
it plays - a bit slow and scratchy - so I stopped the download. The next
time I try to cat a file to /dev/audio - nothing - so I try 'file
/dev/audio' and it tells me that it is a 8 bit audio .au file. - DOLT. So
I tryed MAKEDEV audio - but it just responds with 'no such device' - I
tryed rm audio, then MAKEDEV audio - still no such device.

How can I make a new /dev/audio file, and how did I kill my old one ?

P.S. the audio applications I compiled from the ports collection still work
fine - although I am unable to get a CD player to work - is there a CD player
that works with the SB16 cd drive ?
