Also enabled YP/NIS and installed the DES package so as to use the SunOS encrypted passwords via YP/NIS... This done, I can no longer log in via rlogin or telnet, but get the following error message: genesis> rlogin toybox Password: ######## mikebo login refused on this terminal. I can login to the console just fine... and everything else seems to work OK. I'm using KSH, so I did modify /etc/shells. I have a .rhosts in my home directory which worked fine up until now - it asks for a Password. This is probably a pretty simple problem. Anyone? Two more things: o What controls the order in which host names are resolved? DNS, then NIS, then local hosts file seems to be the order... o Is there an automounter out there which works with FreeBSD 2.0.5R?
