Doesn't `dset' work for this?  It's supposed to fetch the `-c' changes
automatically from within /etc/rc, and merge it back into /kernel.

If it's not working, please send-pr it as a bug report (or go and fix
it, and send-pr the diff :--)

It's not supposed to need it, so it's perhaps an oversight on my side.
I'll try to remember it and look at it again; please get back to me on
this in private mail say in about 4 weeks of time or so.
