Help!
Am having difficulty using TCP/IP networked PCs using Century's NFS
client to mount a printer connected to a FreeBSD server running 2.0R.
What makes it confusing is that I can mount exported drives from the
server, but I can't mount the printer.
The printcap is as follows:
lp|local line printer:\
:lp=/dev/lpt0:sh:fo:sd=/var/spool/lpd:sf=var/log/lpd-errs:mx#0:
The pcnfsd.conf file reads:
wtmp off
spooldir /var/spool/lpd
printer lp /dev/lpt0
The exports file reads:
/var/spool/pcnfs
When I run rpcinfo -p, I get:
program vers proto port
100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
100005 1 udp 674 mountd
100003 2 udp 2049 nfs
100003 2 tcp 2049 nfs
100001 1 udp 1029 rstatd
100001 2 udp 1029 rstatd
100001 3 udp 1029 rstatd
150001 1 udp 794 pcnfsd
150001 2 udp 794 pcnfsd
150001 1 tcp 794 pcnfsd
150001 2 tcp 794 pcnfsd
Using the same NFS client, I can mount printers on an SCO UNIX server
running version 3.2 release 4.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
