No. W. Richard Stevens for "Unix Network Programming", "Advanced Programming in the Unix Environment" fame. These TCP/IP books, one could say, "compete" with Comer & Stevens "Internetworking with TCP/IP" series. I have both, and prefer the flavor I originally asked about. It took just seconds to find an OS on which to play with the sources, since I already owned the CD. > >If anyone else is using the book with the source code, I'd be interested > >in your comments. > > We used the code from Vol III without any significant mods, > so you should have no problems. Funny, since the book you assumed I was asking about was not correct, this info shouldn't be of much help. However, if you used the code from the David Stevens book under FreeBSD "without any significan mods", I may try it too. It can't hurt to play with other ways of doing things. Thanks for the help, info, time etc. Mike
