I'd just as soon the sales go to someone more responsive like Buslogic, who BTW have shown themselves to be more willing to try and correct the problems I reported earlier. I've been contacted by no fewer than 4 people at Buslogic since I sent out my posting and, compared with the total apathy at Future Domain, it's a refreshing difference in corporate style. I thought I would echo Jordan's comments. About a year and a half ago, I needed to update the NetBSD BusLogic driver, and BusLogic was gracious and immensely helpful -- very open and friendly. I had no problems getting the detailed technical documentation I needed. This is why I always push BusLogic products when anyone asks which SCSI controller to buy (besides they fact that they just make good stuff).
