However, as a Linux user entertaining switching to FreeBSD, I do find it useful to read comparisons of FreeBSD and Linux, despite the heat often generated. Maybe we need a comp.unix.x86.religous-wars or something. I'm serious. Brush fires would still flare up in individual OS's newsgroups, but they often could be moved off to the canonical battleground. And people like me would have a ready place to look for comparitive information (OK, comparitive opinions).
