Date: 14 Jul 95 21:35:20 GMT Organization: Intel Corporation Lines: 16 Message-ID: <steve.805757720@ichips.intel.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: pdx840.intel.com I'm trying to get Netscape 1.1N to work under FreeBSD 2.0.5-RELEASE, using the BSDI port of Netscape. This should, as far as I know, work in theory. The problem I see is that when Netscape starts up, it says "uname() failed" and complains about not knowing what the machine name is it's running on. I compiled up a quick C program to call uname(3) and it works fine. Anyone else try to do this? Did this used to work under 2.0 and not 2.0.5? Patches? Suggestions?
