I am having a similar problem. I have installed the snap (I had NO
luck installing 2.0.5r no matter what i did).. And it installed perfectly
but it never installed the boot manager ... I tried installing 6 tiems..

I have a 486 dx 33 (well dx with math co processor the original
proecssor is an slc), 167mb ram (4 4 mb simms), 64k cache (tried installing
with and without the cache disabled), my drive 1, c drive is 120m and my
second drive is 540... I ws just triyng to install on the 540.. I
partitioned it with I think 350m for root, 110 mb for swap, and like 50 mb
for usr. I have a hercules vga (with 1mb dram) card, a beethoven cd-rom
drive, colardo external tape backup, one 3.5 inch, a 28.8 usr sportster wth
v.34 chip. I even tried to format the second drive as dos, just deleiting
the partitions but no formatting, fdisk/mbr to get a clean boto record, I
tried botting hd (whatever the option is I cnat think right now) from the
installation boot disk and have had no success I finalyl formatted the
second drie and will attempt to re-ftp it. Does anyone have anysuggestions?
