Mounting these for read and write under another Linux-system works fine. The problem arises with FreeBSD 2.0.5. If I mount the directories under FreeBSD I cannot write to them. A 'showmount' on the Linux-server-side doesn't list any mountpoints, but I can read the data on my FreeBSD- system. 'mount' actually shows the mounted parts. Seems to me like the Linux NFS implementation is kind of buggy. Any idea to fix this problem? Has anyone mounted Linux-directories readwrite under FreeBSD? Thanks for any hints. oli. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- - oliver schmelzle - bodhi@tsunami.hanse.de ------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------- no, it's not a bug. it's a language feature! - --------------------------------------------------------------------------
