Subject: Can't mount readwrite via NFS from Linux-box
X-Newsreader: XP v3.0 R/B7064
Lines: 24

Hi,

I have a Linux-box (1.2.8) exporting some directories readwrite via NFS.
Mounting these for read and write under another Linux-system works fine.

The problem arises with FreeBSD 2.0.5. If I mount the directories under
FreeBSD I cannot write to them. A 'showmount' on the Linux-server-side
doesn't list any mountpoints, but I can read the data on my FreeBSD-
system. 'mount' actually shows the mounted parts.

Seems to me like the Linux NFS implementation is kind of buggy. Any idea
to fix this problem?

Has anyone mounted Linux-directories readwrite under FreeBSD?

Thanks for any hints.

oli.
