I have tried installing new libcrypts... I have even tried playing around with the old library as well and have come to no definative success. So I have decided to resort to the brute force method and go from there. The brute force method involved running Crack 4.1 on my password file. The problem now lies in that I cant get the beasty to run even after I make the neccessary changes to the file to make it look like somethint Crack wants. Anyone have the beasty working on their machine and would like to share the secrets of your success with me? Any help here would be appreciated... 360+ users are a pain to manage when they are all gone for the summer... the more I can get the passwords for moved to the new machine the less work I will need to do when the semester starts again. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Brad Jasperson Originator of the URI impaler@vampyre.acc.uri.edu Vampyre Project. eoo103@uriacc.uri.edu
