We which to server of a NIS (yp) server, which is a SUN running Sol. 1. (There are about 14 sun / OSF/1 boxes on the network with either sol1, sol2 or OSF/1 running) I cannot login to any yp account, using FreeBSD. The yp is attaching ok to a server. I have put into the passwd file via vipw +:*::::::/home/agd:/bin/csh. (This is a test at the moment hence the hardwired directory). Versions of the above with zeros don't help. Any suggestions?
