I semi-successfully aliased the ethernet interface on my system to
respond to two different ip addresses. However, it only responds
to external hosts. If I'm on the system I can't ping the other aliased
ip addresses. However, from another machine on the network, I can
successfully ping any of the aliased interfaces.

All I did was:
	ifconfig ef0 ww.xx.yy.zz alias

Pings from the same machine result in Host is Down messages.
Pings from other machines are successful.

I also noticed a gated log entry indicating that host ww.xx.yy.zz is
gatewayed through ef0. It seems like it may be in a self routing loop
where I send the packet, it comes back, I send it out again, it comes
back, ...

Any clues on how to stop it?
